For all those who have fled the nest – or even just have a thing for interior design – we know how challenging it can be to decorate an empty apartment. In this series from The Modern East, we show you how to get the look from some of those amazing Pinterest pics – with items that we can find around here. Today we are going to be talking about that one room that needs some attention and love, as it can be easily ignored. Just because a bathroom is possibly the smallest room in your place, it doesn’t mean that it shouldn’t be full of personality. We found this amazing pic on Pinterest that we think would serve as the perfect hotel inspired guest bathroom. Here are 5 essential pieces you need to get that hotel inspired bathroom look.

1) A Tray

Start off by getting a tray, one of my favorites is this marble tray from The Bower Company.

2) Air Freshener Sticks

Air freshener sticks are a great way to keep your bathroom smelling great – without having to light a candle. My fave are these from Zara Home, because I just love the smell of white flowers.

3) Hand Wash + Lotion

It’s key to have a great smelling (and looking) bottle of hand wash by the sink for your guests to enjoy – as they would in any swanky Dubai hotel. Why not go the extra mile and pair the hand wash with some soft hand lotion – but of course they have to have the same scent.

4) Flowers

Fresh flowers are always a good idea, but they also require a lot of time and maintenance to keep them looking wonderful. You can opt for faux flowers instead, Ikea has a some great options.

5) White Towels

To top it ff, make sure to get plenty of fluffy white towels and facecloths. This is a must have in most hotels – so we have to make sure that in our hotel inspired bathroom, they are always there (and always clean!). Fold them and place them one on top of the other to be easily accessible.
