After month’s of speculation, it’s official: Rihanna has become the first woman to create an original brand at LVMH Moet Henessy Louis Vuitton positioning herself as a breakthrough designer – ultimate #girlboss status achieved. Rihanna’s new ready to wear, shoes and accessories line will be the first new house created by the group since Christian Lacroix in 1987 and will join luxury heritge brands such as Celine, Dior, Loewe and Givenchy.

The Fenty Maison fashion house will be based in France and will sit under the Fenty umbrella RiRi has already built with The Modern East fave Fenty beauty and her lingerie line Savage X Fenty.
The Barbadian beauty annonced the partnership on Instagram to her 70.5 million followers with her new Fenty Maison logo. The brand is said to feature both men’s and women’s fashion, aswell as childrenswear.
President and CEO of LVMH, Bernard Arnault recognised Rihanna as a ‘ wonderful singer but through our partnership at Fenty Beauty, I have discovered a true CEO and a great leader’ – go RiRi, she has come long way since the ‘Pon de Replay’ days and has proved she is more than just a pop princess. Rihanna added ‘Designing a line like this with LVMH is an incredibly special moment for us. Mr Arnault has given me a unique opportunity to develop a fashion house in the luxury sector, with no artistic limits. I couldn’t imagine a better partner oth creatively and business-wise, and I’m ready for the wolrd to see what we have built togther’.
The big question on our lips now is What does Fenty look like? The potential is seriously endless! It is reported that a talented team from Louis Vuitton and Celine have been working on the line with Rihanna so we are sure its going to be pretty impressive! The debut Spring collection is launching in a matter of weeks and we already can’t wait to get our hands on it!
